First day of Pre-K

So, my Nya started her second year of preschool yesterday at Windermere Union. She is at the same school that she went to last year. She knows all the teachers and ALL the kids. She was so excited to start back to school. She is in Mrs. B's class and she has her buddies Sebastian, Daven, Elena, Braden, Will and Novalee in her same class. She has already planned out her whole social calendar for the entire month of September, so it seems.

After her first day, she had a trial class at a local Gymnastics/Tumbling studio. She was very excited and I made sure that the course is mainly tumbling and no dangerous, neck breaking gymnastic skills. She loves it and will be going every Monday from 3:30 to 4:30. The class is full of a ton of her friends. She will be in class with Sebastian, Lilly, Gianna, Mackenzie, Alexis and 1 other girl that she does not know...yet!

Dare Devil

Nya went on the crazy bungee bouncer thing the other day. The picture does not do it justice, you cannot really tell how high she was. I am glad that I made the guy check her harness like 5 times before she started jumping.

READ CAPTIONS AT END OF PICTURES FIRST TO EXPLAIN

Summer Vacation 2009!!!

SOOOO, I had this ideal image of how I would caption all of the pictures from our trip but then as I went through all of them I realized that would be almost impossible. All I can say is that we had an amazing summer vacation. Nya and Iylah had the best time and they got to do so many fun and unique things. My sister really had a lot of awesome things planned for us while we were in Maine. Nya totally explored the "sea coast" from top to bottom. My niece and nephew are so darn cute and hilarious!!! We went to all the children's museums (Boston, Portland, Portsmouth) and a few different beaches. The kids went blueberry picking and "candle stick" bowling. We also saw the baby harbor seals get released back into the wild. My sister used to volunteer with this group that rehabs the abandoned baby seals and they told her they were doing a release so we went to see it and it was so great.

We went to my Aunt's house in New York afterwards and Nya got treated like a queen. I do not have a lot of pictures because I stayed home with Iylah, but Nya went to see the Lion King with my mom and Aunt in NYC. She is still talking all about it. They took her out for a fancy lunch in Central Park and then took a pedi-cab out of the park. To top it off, she rode in a limo home.

My mom treated us to the most wonderful resort on our drive back down south. We stayed at the Great Wolf Lodge in Concord, NC for 3 days. It was completely amazing and the girls throughly enjoyed themselves. They had an indoor water park and a ton of other child friendly activities. Nya got to sleep in a tent themed bunk bed and she loved every minute of it. My mom took her to the arcade a bunch and bought her just about every item she wanted. She ate donuts for breakfast everyday that we were there because they had a Dunkin Donuts in the lobby. I really don't know if it will be possible to get her back to reality anytime soon.

School starts next Monday, wish me luck!!!
