Iyla phrases...

I remember loving this age (18 mo-2 years) with Nya, too. They are just so funny and animated. I guess they have to be so that all of the naughty things that they do don't seem quite as obnoxious. Here are a few of Iyla's hilarious phrases these days...

"Hey Momma, what does the cow say?...You so smart Momma."
"I like Turtles...I really do."
"I wanna go da' pool...I wanna graba da' wall."
"Look Momma, I draw picture of Nya."
"Oh man, Leila have a poo poo diaper! Dat gross."
"Its really, really hot Momma...I can't eat dis'."
"I wanna read da' books Momma."
"I wanna do dancin' Momma."
"Watch dis', I'm movin' my body!"
"Looka Leila, she happy to me."
"Hey Momma, look at my body...it's movin'."

Seriously, there is like 100 more but I just want to remember her funny little personality forever.

Almost summer...

Well, summer is quickly approaching and the fun has begun. I really hope sweet Leila Sky can get out of this brace so she can enjoy some of this Florida summer fun.

P.S. That little boy is Nya's friend Hutton and I personally think that he is a strong contender for marriage (if her and Tyler or Sebastian don't work out). You cannot see in this picture but he has the most beautiful yellow/green eyes. He is soooo darn cute.

My swimmer...

Soooo, little Iyla Jade is officially swimming. I am working with her on getting her head above the water but otherwise she can get herself to the wall or steps with no trouble. She can also swim across the "hole" in the hot tub (see video). Let the summer fun begin!!!

This is one of Iyla's latest renditions of the ABC song. She can sing it all the way through (sort of) but she was not in a performing mood. Still funny, either way.

Leila Sky laughed out loud for the very first time today. I am doing this post more for me so that I can remember this. She was laying on my bed and I started talking to her as usual and she laughed out loud. She totally surprised herself...it was so darn cute! Hopefully some video to come...She will be 3 months old TOMORROW!

Mother's Day 2010

We had a great day with my mom and Jan. The kids did their usual "pool painting party". You can see how much everyone adores "mom".

Sisters...

Poor Nya had her very first feeling of torturous guilt today. I was putting iyla in for a nap (which has been almost impossible these days) and she was screaming to get out. Well, I went in to tell her she needed to lay down and when I did that she caught a glimpse of Nya. She then proceeded to scream out for Nya. She was screaming at the very top of her lungs and saying, "NYA, NYA, MY SISTER, MY SISTER, HELP ME, HELP ME, NYA, NYA, MY SISTER!"

Nya was begging and pleading with me to let her go get iyla out. I did not want iyla to win this battle because she needed to nap so badly. I felt so awful for Nya because she felt like she was abandoning her sister. It was so sad and sooooo funny all at the same time. I do not know what is going on with iyla refusing a nap these days but poor Nya got caught right in the middle. In the end, I did let Nya go and "save" her sister.
