We were driving in the car and Nya saw a Lynx bus stop. For those of who who are not local or do not know, the Lynx bus symbol is a paw print. Nya looked at the all the hot, sad people waiting for the bus and she said: "Awww, look at all those people waiting for the puppy train. At least once they get on the train they will get a puppy to make them feel better." She thinks the bus stop symbol, a PAW print, is a sign that the people are waiting for a puppy train to take them to get their puppy. I will never, ever correct her from thinking that because it is the cutest thing ever.
Nya to Mommy while driving to gymnatics class:
Nya: "I feel so sad for everyone that cannot flip and kart-wheel as awesome as me."
Mommy: "Well, maybe they need to go to gymnastics so they can practice to be as good as you."
Nya: "That will never happen Mommy because these people that I feel sad for do not have any ears and they cannot listen to the teacher at all."

Latest Nya-isms!
While Iylah was trying to get the square block into the circle hole on a toy...and Nya came with her unwarranted help.
Mommy: "Nya, why can't you just let Iylah do it by herself? That is the only way she will learn how to do things."
Nya: "Because Mommy, you know how you always have to control things we do...well I have to control Iylah from doing this wrong!"
Touché Nya...good point.
Nya: "Hey Mommy, if our baby was a boy I would want to name him 'ASS'."
Mommy: "WHAT? WHY?"
Nya: "You know, like the guy on Pokemon that cousin Bobby likes."
Mommy: "Oooohhh, you mean ASH."
Nya: "Yea, that is what I said...'ASS'!"

fun...fun...fun...
These are just a few random shots from the past couple of days. I realized that I had not been taking a lot of pictures lately so I have been trying to bring my camera along more frequently. You will see some pictures of Iylah feeding her baby, which has become a new favorite past time of hers. Also, we went to downtown Disney with our neighbors and Nya kept posing with all the statues like a total tourist. She just looked so cute that I had to take the picture. We have been spending a lot of time with Tyler and Alejandro so there are some pics of that too. The flash was bothering Tyler's eyes so he is squinting but he is still the most handsome little fellow!

Walker
Iylah Jade is a little walker! These are some of her very first steps. She has been taking 10-12 steps at a time and as soon as she falls she gets right back up. She seems to do better on hard surfaces and grass. I am hoping she will have mastered it by halloween so she can trick-or-treat with Nya!

Few more Nya-isms...
I was downstairs painting the den and I was listening to Nya play upstairs. She was playing with her Disney action figures (most likely Peter Pan and Wendy) and she was pretending to make the girl toy talk. She said, "Ya' know what Peter? I really don't care if you can fly or if you are a prince, you stepped on my dress and that means you cannot be my boyfriend anymore!"
My girl has got some serious standards...
For the past 5-6 months Nya has been eating like a college football player. She never gets full and she never gains a pound (and yes I already took her to the pediatrician months ago to make sure that she does not have a tapeworm). So this afternoon she ate another huge lunch: 3 big slices of turkey wrapped with provolone, 5-6 cut-up strawberries, 12-15 sweet potato fries, bowl of yogurt covered raisins and chocolate soy milk. Right after lunch she says, "Mommy, I know you are going to say that I cannot still be hungary but my brain wants to know if I can have a muffin?"

Bambino
The verdict is in...we are having another girl! I totally prepared myself and I am so fine with it. I actually think it is better this way because I think that if this baby had been a boy then I would have unconsciously favored him and that would have caused irreparable damage to Nya and Iylah later in life. We are going to paint all three of the kids rooms and make the den into a guest room.
And since everyone has been asking the answer is NO, we WILL NOT be trying for a boy EVER!!! Hakim already has a vasectomy appointment booked and I am getting the 10 year IUD (just because getting my tubes tied would mean I have to go under anesthesia and I don't want to do that). Here is a picture of the latest little beauty.
P.S. I think I might already have a first and middle name picked out but it will be a secret until delivery day...

Crazy Nya
So every morning when Nya wakes up we talk about what she dreamed about and how she slept the night before. This morning when I asked her how she slept she said, "Mommy, I've been wanting to tell you that at night time I really don't sleep. I pretend to close my eyes but really I stay up all night long. Sorry, but that is just my truth."
Are all kids this funny???
Then tonight while she was in the bath with Iylah, I heard her telling her..."Iylah, when you get older you cannot just have boogers on your face. Kids will think you are gross so you need to wipe them on your shirt or blow then on mommy's arm when you hug her."
All I can say about this kid is..........WWWWWWOOOOOOOWWWWWWW!!!!!!!!

Pool party at Alex and Cami's
We had a pool party play date at Alex and Cami's house today. Nya had a blast and so did Iylah playing in the sand box. I did nt mind staring out at the lake view either, ahhhh. Then we went to Aji for dinner with Lilly, Alycia, Irene, Alex and Cami. It is a fun hibachi place where the kids could watch the guy cook in front. They ad so much fun.

Lately...
So, I have been kind of bad about posting our recent adventures. The weeks just fly by now that Nya Bliss is back in school. Here are a few shots from our visit to Erika's house, Sea World with Tyler, Carter, Daven and Broden and "Slime Time" at Sebastians's house! Oh, and by the way...Tyler is the green eyed child in the pics. I seriously love him and would kidnap him if i thought there was any chance that I might get away with it.

Iylah is 14 months TODAY!
Baby Iylah is 14 months old today. And what a day it has been...she took her very first STEPS!!! 3 in a row, that is progress in the Davy household. She is also doing a few other cool things right now.
-She can say fish, MAMA, dog, ball, Nya, Dada, thank you, YAY!, No!, baby, juice, Whoa, Go away, eye and yes.
-She has a few signs (sign language) like blankie, milk, bath, more, banana, eat and light.
-She is really into reading books right now, we have to read like 3-4 before she stops pointing to the bookshelf and saying "MORE!"
-She has 8 (almost 9) teeth.
-Her favorite food right now is fresh peaches (skin and all).
-She wakes up every morning with her finger already pointing as if to say, "okay, what can I learn about today?"
-She can show you her feet, ears, eyes, nose, mouth and hair.
She is really fun right now and Nya is having the best time playing with her and carrying her all around like her own personal baby doll.

Poor Nya
Nya is home sick today with the stomach flu. She is such a trooper with this kind of stuff. We have had a day of coloring, board games and go fish. Nya said to me after our 4th round of Candy Land, "I don not know why these are called board game...I am not BORED at all when I play this!"
