We have been so busy with holiday festivities that my blogging has really sucked lately. Right now I am going to post some fun videos and pics from our recent adventures. These are just the ones I have on my iphone so my camera pictures will be updated soon (maybe after the new year).

Beach Day

So, we went over the Erika's house for the weekend. I love it there. Nya and Iyla play for HOURS because they have a whole new selection of toys and endless play mates. Erika and I ALWAYS have fun together, so what is not to love.  Erika lives near the beach and I had booked a beach photo shoot with my friend Jessica from Laughinghouse Photography (my favorite EVER). We took the kids down to the beach on Saturday and Erika got some cute pictures of the kids while the photographer got ready. I will have those Laughinghouse pictures in a week or 2 so these are just some snap shots that we have for now.

I got some tickets to Disney from a friend and Kerrin got Erika in with me so we took the girls to Disney. We had such an awesome time. Erika is so, so great with my kids, totally devoted and helpful. We went to Animal Kingdom first and then over to Magic Kingdom. The girls had a blast and so did we...great memories from this day. Thanks for going with me Erika...You rock!!

So, I am so sorry that I have been lazy about posting all these pictures. I had such an incredible 30th birthday party. I have a great group of friends and an amazing family. I am really lucky to have so many supportive women in my life. We started the night at the mani/pedi spa which had closed down just for us. We had a blast, everyone got what they wanted and everyone mingled. Then we went across the street for sushi. I regrettably have no pictures from the sushi place. We were having too much fun to take pictures I guess...

Here are a few pictures of our low-key Thanksgiving and the pictures of Chance.

Bad news...

So, incase you have not heard...our sweet puppy Harlow ran away last week (on my birthday to be EXACT). She had slipped out from under the gate of the fence twice earlier that day. I scolded her and showed her that she can not do that. Both times she came straight to the front door because she was not going to scrape her belly on the concrete of the driveway to get back under the fence. Well, I was going to bed that night and I let her out one last time before I was going to put her in her bed. I waited 4-5 minutes and then I opened the door expecting her to come running in but, she never did. I made signs and put them up all over the neighborhood, the church across the street, the nearby schools, the local vet, local Petco, the grocery store, etc. I also posted an ad on craigslist with her picture to see if anyone might check on there if they found her. A few days went by and we decided to go to the SPCA to see if she had been turned in. (BTW, she does have a collar and a name tag but she does not wear it unless she is being walked because it bothered her...lesson learned). Sooooo, while we were looking for Harlow at the SPCA we saw the most calm, sweet, adorable dog...HIS NAME IS CHANCE. He is a 1 year old (well almost...he will be 1 on the 6th) chocolate lab with greenish/yellow eyes. He was being trained as a service dog when the owner died. The parents of the guy could not deal with adopting him out of finding him a new home so they brought him to the SPCA (with his AKC registration and full pedigree paperwork). He is so calm and easy going...no chewing, peeing/pooping in the house, no jumping, no barking, no digging, nothing. Perfect dog. He is such a wonderful addition to our family and having him here has really lessened the pain of losing Harlow. I think was found by someone who just could not bare the thought of returning her so they kept her for themselves. As much as that sucks, we got Chance out of this and I REALLY love this dog...A LOT!!! Pictures to come...

It's a beautiful life...

We went out to Stacy's for a few days and we had the BEST TIME. Stacy is an unbelievable hostess and makes us feel so totally welcomed. She had all of my favorite things for my "pre-birthday" celebration (i.e. Thai food, lemon pound cake made from scratch, yummy tropical cocktails, Dunkin Donuts coffee and donuts for my girls, and a wonderful birthday gift with all my favorite stuff). Her house is so, so beautiful, her husband is more than sweet and her boys are beyond adorable and fun. As much as I want Stacy to move back to Orlando, I really have to admit that I am torn after days like this. The beach is 2 minutes (walking) from her front door. The beach is also private so we were the only people for miles and miles. The kids just loved every second of it. As we were walking home from the beach the first night, Iyla said (to herself), "That was so fun, I love da' beach." They played outside, did crafts, ate yummy food and just had so much fun. We LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the Carters. I am feeling totally recharged.

P.S. I purposely left a set of toothbrushes for me and the girls there so Stacy might have us back sooner than she wants. Hehehe
