Halloween Parade

Nya had a Halloween (storybook) parade at school. She was dressed as "Ladybug Girl" from her favorite storybook, "The Adventures of Ladybug Girl". There were a lot of great costumes. The kids were told to dress up as a character from their favorite book. I saw a lot of "Cat in the Hat" and "Wizard of Oz" and "Disney character" costumes. Some people did not get the theme of  the "Storybook costume parade" so they just used their regular halloween costumes (i.e. Buzz Lightyear, Batman, Pirates).  It was a good thing Nya's costume was from a book because the kids were told to bring in the book today and share it with the class. Oh yeah, this is also Nya's "embarrassed face" and I kinda HATE IT! She does this anytime I try and take a picture of her doing something cute. She acts like she is too cool and it totally sucks the cuteness right out of the picture. Also, please take note of her EXTREME height compared to the BOYS in line next to her. WTF???

As you see, Iyla was NOT happy when the parade was over. She really thought she was going to get to stay there all day (she even wanted to wear her own costume). Which would have been appropriate because Ladybug Girl does have a handy sidekick in the book named...you guessed it...Bumblebee BOY...(except the boy part but you get my point)!!!
